OUR AIMS
Greetings from MALT!
The idea to set up the association was conceived several years ago, but only on 28 August 2013 did ROS Malaysia officially endorse it. MALT is a national association and its membership is open to all academics and non-academics with interest in the fields of languages, and language testing in particular.
The main aims of MALT are manifold:
- To act on an advisory capacity on testing & evaluation matters to schools, institutions of higher learning, and industry with interest in the field
- To collaborate with the ministry of education and other government agencies in laying out policies and strategies relating to matters of testing & evaluation
- To provide assistance in the development & production of test and assessment instruments
- To conduct talks, courses, seminars, symposiums on topics related to testing & evaluation
- To conduct surveys, studies, and research on topics related to testing & evaluation
- To hold conferences and produce a journal on testing & evaluation
- To assist in elevating knowledge and expertise in testing & evaluation amongst members of the association
